View Full Version : Priceless Vacation Code - Anyone back from using this????

I have been playing with codes and this one definitely produces the best rate, but ONLY because the concession fee is not charged (which on my rental is $41.78). I am just wondering if someone has actually returned from renting in Orlando and can confirm that this will not be charged when you return the car.

Thanks!!!

Dagny,
I wondered the same thing so just to be sure, I have called National Customer Service twice and asked this question. Both times, I was told that the Total Estimate on your ressie is the out the door price you will pay. They have some kind of special agreement with Priceless that allows them to skip the concesion fee.

so the concession fee must go directly to National and not to MCO, otherwise how could they avoid a "goverment imposed" fee?

like the one that says if you just fly through Baltimore and change planes you have to pay the "airpor fee" just for getting off the plane....talk about cash grabs ( just a pet peeve sorry )

On what site are you using this code? National's or is there a priceless website?

Put it in the contract ID space on the National web site

I reserved with this code and the concession fee still showed up on the grand total. I didn't do anything different than I normally do when I make a reservation on National. Any thoughts?

Being nervous about the unexpected charge, I just emailed National Customer service. I'll post here when I hear back from them. Also keeping my fingers crossed about larger cars than intermediate on EA!!!

This code is great!

It will cost me about $82 R/T to get to and from Sanford to the Dolphin. MUCH better than the $160 towncar rate... excluding tips.

Buh bye Alamo reservation!

Drove to the ticket booth, presented his reservation, and that was all. No problems using the code and the agent did not ask for any Priceless Vacation ID. He was charged the amount on his reservation.

When I use the priceless code I am still charged the concession fee. I am using a $20 off ent coupon , priceless code.

I have a rate for 9 days total with all fees is 323.71. I would love to be able to drop the 25.09 concession fee. Can someone help.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Mousesavers says the National website is a little quirky and sometimes you need to clear the cache to get a better rate.

I'm at WDW now, I have a car with the priceless code. I'll post Saturday night when I return home. My price was $119, intermediate EA with free day.

Has anyone ever used this code without having EA? I don't belong and also have never rented a car before. Also, can anyone tell me if the fees they charge when you use an airline contract # wipe out the savings you get? Sorry if this is a stupid question. We currently have a mini van booked with national through AAA for $189 total for three days over a weekend starting Oct. 8th, but she said she couldn't put any other codes or contract #'s in and I don't know if I'm getting the best rate I can. Thanks for your time.

Yooperfan-

Who is "she"- a travel agent or National employee? Keep trying YOURSELF for a better rate, as car rental rates change ALL the time...sometimes several times per day! Go to www.mousesavers.com; Mary has the best info around on how to combine codes, coupons, etc., and also info on how to get a "free" national emerald club membership. Just FYI, my BIL has a minivan rate of $209 plus taxes for a week in June, so keep checking rates and mousesavers...also, if you go to Orbitz and plug in your dates, they will give you base rates for all rental car companies at/near MCO. Also consider using L&M...mousesavers says thryget alot of complaints, but folks here seem to be very satisfied with them. Good luck, I think you can do better than what you have.

Debbie,
When you post, can you let us know if they asked for any kind of ID when you checked out?

Returned home today. Was charged the exact amount as on my reservation, $119.23. No concession fee.

I was not asked for any ID. I did register at the priceless vacations site but never got any type of membership card or id #.

I was just looking at my reservations for this trip. My original reservation in February was $197! I cancelled 4 reservations as the price went down, I kept a screen print of the cancellation confirmations.

Just got back Friday - also used Priceless code and Entertainment coupon. Was charged amount on confirmation - never asked for confirmation of Priceless code although I too registered on their website. My husband and I noticed that EA is only the right side now of the aisle but we didn't realize until we were starting to leave that the aisle is quite long - we chose a Saturn 4-door sedan which had a lot of trunk space. As we were leaving we did see a chevy all wheel drive SUV but when we stopped to look it had less trunk space than the Saturn. We were happy with our choice for the week.

Yes, it goes directly to National who, in turn, pays MCO for the space it rents, so, basically, for this deal with Priceless, National "eats" the fee.

<font face="times" size="+0">I just learned about this code today. Was wondering if anyone else has successfully used this code with no hassle?

Also, has anyone tried this code at locations other than MCO?
We'll be picking up a car in Tampa. I think I remember reading someone else used it successfully in Cleveland.</font>

If you do a search, you will see many have used this with great success. If someone used it in Cleveland, you can bet it will be good in Tampa. It is a nationwide travel agency.

We returned this weekend and used the priceless code. No problem and nothing was ever mentioned. We picked up our "FULL SIZE" car from the EA and drove to the kiosk. Gave the rep our ressie, cc, EA card, coupon and driver's license. She quoted us our price--$214.45 for 11 day rental, all taxes and fees, and away we went. Took about 5minutes total. Coming home it took about 5 minutes to drop off and got a receipt for that exact amount. Overall, another smooth rental experience from national.

I was the one that used in Cleveland the night before our flight to MCO. Used it successfully at both airports with no hassles! So I would try it in Tampa.

We used it two weeks ago without any problems.
