Registration for pin events is usually anxiously awaited by the pinpal community.

However, now we are faced with a bit of a dilemna. Do we really have enough information about the event when registration begins?

What do you think?

I am not interested in only the merchandise, but other perks too.
Even the hours would be nice! ;)
I think they should be better planned out and prepared from the start.

Well, I actually answered that I could manage with limited info.

I may be in the minority on this one, but most of the time I go to an event because the timing will work out for me. Besides the big Epcot Event, I try to catch one (or two) of the smaller ones if it falls in the calendar where I can do a quick getaway for DH and I, or when I can pull the kids from school for just a couple days.

If it turns out the pins are not the best....I just live with it.

I guess if I could afford to go to any event I wanted to, the pin (and other merchandise and perks) would be much more of a determining factor for me.

but I had to answer honestly. Lately, we have had no choice. I have let them know both verbally and in writing as well. For me, online picture only work about 50% of the time in GUESSING what the pin will look like. And without dimensions, it's even less. I would much rather have all the info in advance, but dates are also important to my going to an event. In the past I would never have gone to a summer event, but this time I am, without seeing the merchandise as well, because it is Tink. I prefer events during the cooler seasons.

since I almost never sign up for pin events, I can hardly address this issue in the truest fashion but.... I did sponser someone based just on the general pictures. I hope I am not disappointed because lately, the pins turn out to looke different than the pictures. Some of course are nicer than they start out but some are much uglier than the artwork. Maybe I should just collect the art work?

The reason for that is so Disney can gauge how much they have to bribe the pin community with if registration is SLOW at the beginning!
So, my suggestion is hold off as long as possible, and let them increase tha ante!...That's what's happening at the upcoming AK event!
It is a $$$$ race for Disney!!!!!.....register early, you don't get squat...hold off and get a better package!
