DD Just Started on our recent trip

My DD just started pin collecting on our Easter trip. She just loved it. She purchased pins from the rides she went on and some characters she likes and now has a wonderful lanyard full of about 25 pins.

She does have one question. She obtained three lanyard pins from CM's. It was a little confusing as to what they were and why they were so hard to find.

Can anyone help?

Lanyard pins -- These are series of pins that are released by being placed on a Cast Member lanyard. They cannot be purchased in the shops in the parks.

Their unique release method is one part of what makes them hard to come by.

The subject of the pin is usually the other contributing factor. Certain characters or poses are often more popular.

If you'd like to get an idea about the desirability of your three lanyard pins, you can visit www.pinpics.com.

Use the search feature, limit your search to the categories of WDW and lanyard pins, and then type in the character on one of your pins.

Check through the search results to locate your specific pin.

Once you come to the correct page for your pin, you will see a whole bunch of info, and possibly some comments, about your pin.

If you look at the "wanting" and "trading" numbers, you will get a feel for the popularity of your pin.
