I was going to post this here last week but you guys seem to have been having fun lately and didn't need me all getting wishy washy - plus I was trying to keep my mind off of it by having fun reading your posts.

I thought I would go ahead and post what I have been dealing with the past week and then shamelessly ask for some extra PD or good thoughts to help me through this without me killing my brother - okay, this is going to need a LOT of PD and prayers for that!

Anyway - here is a link to my story

and a link to where we are today

Loaded w/ PD, and even at that it probably isn't enough....I think we should get your brother and my sister together...they sound just perfect for each other..

I'm sure your Mom will be just fine, after all she has the pooches hanging in for her, and of course you and Matt too...

We have all our toes and fingers crossed for her quick recovery...and a special double crossing to keep you from a murder charge....

And you take care of yourself too, Miss Lauri !!!

I'm sending all the PD I can find. :earsgirl:

Sweet Lauri,

Wow! Your plate is FUUULLL!!

I have been reading the threads where you posted, and it is clear to see many are in the same boat. Well, you can include me as well. My mom has been putting me through my paces since my Pop-a-dop died dec. of 2002. It has been rough. Sounds like our mom's would get along great in competing for who has it worse.

I shared at a Bible Study I taught last week, about God's grace, which gives hope, which brings us humilty, and ultimately to joy.
I know myself, I am still much in need of God's grace to sustain me, and I'm looking forward to the "JOY" part.

It's not that I don't have "joy", but when I'm around her, she tends to rob it from me. One of our well known pin pals has been a great support, encourager and yes even my Butte Kicker, when I've needed it. Manny's wife Michele. She is wonderful. It's nice when you have a friend that can relate and truely sympathize with what you're going through.

I too, know all those wonderful cliche's by heart, but it doen't always make it easier. I do like the one that says, (from God)
"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on tight, I'm right there!"

So tie a good knot, and know He's there, and that all your friends here care and are remembering you as you go through this time. I'll keep you in my prayers and blow some Pixie dust your way as well.

Lauri,
I am sooo sorry to hear you are having a ruff time. I know all to well what you are going through. I have had to deal with the same thing you are going through about 3-4 months ago. If you want to talk email me or PM me. Lots of hugs and prayers coming your way. Gods speed.

I just wanted to let you know that I will pray for you and your mother tonight. It must be very hard to be in this situation. I can tell you love her very much. I hope you find some peace and joy soon and that you will get the rest you need to look after your own health.
