Has anyone flown into Melbourne?

When checking Air fares from Washington to Orlando. Travelocity suggested to fly into Melbourne instead and save $62.00 per person. For a family of 4 that's a huge savings. Looking to go in Mid August. What's the drive like from Melbourne to Orlando? How long should it take? :cool:

The drive from Melbourne to Orlando takes approximatly one hour. It is not a bad drive its all highway except Melbourne itself, which is just all your typical city driving.

its about an hr and 10 min give or take a few...small airport...is your flight on delta then? I am going to vero beach in august and it was 368 to fly into MLB but only 168 into MCO so I will drive the 2 hrs to get to vero beach for the amount of savings on the tkts. DL has a monopoly at MLB thats why the fares are always so high into there.....
