Fellow DIS members,
It is with a heavy heart that I share this with you all. After several years of enduring my husband's inappropriate posting under MY user name and the subsequent loss of friendship and reputation that I have suffered, I finally decided to change my password, disable my cookies and register him with his own user name. I felt I had no choice in light of today's unpleasantness when Manny ONCE AGAIN had to cross the boundary of etiquette and decorum which we all hold dear. The very bond that holds us together as the tight knit family we are has ONCE AGAIN been violated by his insidious attempts at humor. I am appalled by his behavior and will not make excuses for him anymore.

disclaimer: Most of the above is a load of horse poopy except the part about me changing my password and registering Manny with his own user name/password.

I have occasionally seen threads closed, but have NEVER seen one be deleted completely from this board in the years I've been registered. I am mortified that my silly husband contributed not only to the closing but the DELETION of what was obviously a dynamic thread. I guess he strayed too far from the topic (as usual) and touched a nerve. It is my hope that mods know he was just TRYING (and failing miserably) to be funny and meant no harm. Please don't make everyone suffer for his mistake....C'mon Nat, BRING BACK THE POST!!!! We weren't finished telling our war stories yet. I was about to tell my story of the first day I registered and posted here on the DIS in frustration over the way I was treated by the "STEPFORD" board because I wasn't "susie sunshine" enough.
I suggest Manny (chefmanny) and Heather (goofy4pluto) not be allowed to post to the same thread for a period of 30 days. Kinda like "probation". It seems they have the same sense of humor which is pretty frightening and downright dangerous to this forum.

Alright....so I haven't been around for awhile....too busy getting better, but I have been trying to read stuff here and there...and I was just almost through the deleted thread, when POOF!!!!!

And I for one ...couldn't believe in a million years that our sensitive Chef Manny would have anything to do w/ it...Why anyone who knows of him, and his thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and knowing just when to say the right thing in any situation....could possiblity be guilty of such a thing!!!!

...that's exactly right!! Just a precautionary measure to prevent any unruly behavior. Not that it necessarily works! Think about how many restaurants we (the unholy six/eight) are no longer welcome.
