Just checked and my rate dropped another $16 for our 7 day trip in May. Full size for 1 week, now down to $139. I guess it pays to keep checking.
Down again. Saved another $3. Not much, but better than a price increase...

HI, Did you use any codes or coupons for this rate?? I have a Full size rental for July19-August2nd at $492.50. I used the Carlson code and an Entertainment Book coupon. I was just reading on another post that the Carlson Code may not come down the closer you get to the time of rental. I try every few days checking prices but keep using the same codes. Maybe I need to be trying different ones?? Anyway thanks for posting your rate drop!! Joan

Joan - I'm seeing the same thing with my june Intermediate EA rental. used the Carlson code and the base is stuck at $160.93 since January! I did notice the 6600330 code dropped from base of $256 to $251 not much but could keep dropping.

Thanks for the tip! Mine dropped from $158 to $133 for May 2 to 8. That's with EC code & free day coupon. For some reason, I can't get the free day coupon to work with the priceless vacation code.

Do they adjust your rates if they drop after you make your reservation?

You usually have to make another reservation and cancel the original one. I've sometimes make 3 or 4 reservations for a trip as the price goes down, each time canceling the previous one. I always make a screen print of the cancellation confirmation in case of a problem.

Nope, you have to pay attention to the rates and modify your reservation or make a new one.

Joan,
I used the Priceless Vacation contract ID (6600330), you can become a member at thier web site. I also used an EC reward coupon for one free day.
Debbie,
If you can't get the priceless contract ID to work with your coupon, try emptying your browser cache. Sometimes, the web site gets confused.
As usual, Gail is dead on correct. They will not automatically adjust your rate, you have to keep checking and make a new reservation then cancel the old one. Trust me it pays, since I first booked it, my rate has dropped from about $225 down to $138.

Check this rate:
National - Emerald Service Intermediate car
MCO 5-16 to 5-24 (8 days)
Entertainment rate code 5066914
Priceless Vacation ID 6600330
Entertainment $20 Coupon 10008615
Sub Total $117.54
Taxes & Charges $29.76
Total $147.30
Have a great trip:wave2:
winterman, the entertainment code is not necessary and makes no difference, you get the same rate whether it's in or not. But go back and check your reservations because the base rate was $140 yesterday and today it's $128, so you may get an even lower price. I'm paying $228 total for 11 days.
