Just the two of us this time

DH ( 65-ish )
Myself ( 5 years younger than DH but I tell him I'm still 30 so don't let him know how old I really am)

We leave tomorrow for 2 weeks in WDW and I can't stand the waiting anymore. I have cleaned the whole house , packed, visited all my kids and grandkids to say goodbye and there is still 18 hours and 45 minutes to wait.
:( :( my daughter says I'm worse than a kid.

I had to hide the suitcases from the cat, he's very suspicious.

We are taking Amtrak (I stopped flying in 1996) I love the train. The first time we tried the train we rode coach and I wouldn't ever do that again on a long trip. Now we always get a deluxe sleeper and we love it. It's very expensive but I just consider it an important part of the trip and it's worth it to me.

Laptop is my constant companion (plus I'm on call 24/7 for work and have to have it with me ) so hope to write daily reports.

Well I guess I'll do my nails now since there's still 18 hours and 15 minutes left till we leave the house. See you all in the parks

Oooh! I'm jealous! We still have 56 days and many hours until we go!:teeth: I'm so excited for you! Please write often and tell those of us living vicariously through you every tiny little detail!
The train sound fabulous. I hope you have a fantastic trip!
Can't wait to hear from you soon!

LOL!!! Hope he doesn't catch on and leave you a parting "gift"!!

Have a great time! My mother teases ME about acting like a kid about WDW at age 43!

That's one reason I love WD so... I can act like a kid...

Are you doing the autotrain or just plain train?

Enjoy your trip and tell Mickey I'll see him in 249 days.....

Sitting here practically biting my newly done nails wating for the limo to pick us up and go to the train station. Leaving house at 11:30 although train doesn't leave Philly till 1:37.
The station here is so nice we like to hang out a bit. Plus they have a really nice private area for first class with beverages, laptop access, snacks, etc.

The cat is now sitting on the suitcase by the door, he is not a happy camper. He has been squalling all morning trying to make me feel guilty (and it's working) He won't be all alone, one of my sons will stop daily to talk to him.
He is 16 years old (the cat not my son) and very spoiled as most pets are.

"Steffy" - we're doing regular train, not auto.

My DH and I are also going without the kids for the very first time. We are so very, very excited. Can't wait....I think you are very calm considering you are almost done waiting. Have a great safe and exciting trip.

Our dog sulks any time we get out the suitcases or my husband's duffel bag (overnights for work). He is our "baby", as we don't have any kiddies yet. He has taken spoiled to a whole new level.
Have a great trip! I'm still waiting patiently for my countdown clock to hit those single digits!

I would love to do the train but DH would rather fly to get the trip over and done with. Plus I suppose flying is better with kids (4 and 1.5) but I would MUCH RATHER take a train. How relaxing!!! Don't forget to give us updates!!!! Have a great time!

We are a couple in our 50's from The Uk and we "do" WDW on our own without the kids anymore. In fact we bought into DVC only last year. I think you can appreciate it a lot more when not rushing from one thing to the next.
Looking forward to reading more. Have a great train ride.:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
