Hello,
For Easter, my husband bought me the Leslie Sansone Deluxe Walk DVD. It's Walkaerobics. Is it the same as Walk Away the Pounds? There is a one mile and a two mile walk on it and then there is also the warm -up and cool down. My question is, how many WW activity points is it to do these? I very clumsily did the one mile walk this morning. It was easy and I'm sure I won't feel as awkward after doing it a couple more times.
I'm thinking about doing the one mile walk in the mornings before work and the two mile walk in the evening before supper. Would that be too much?
Thanks for your help in advance, Renee

it's different for everyone. I liked the school of thought that light activity is one that you don't break a sweat; moderate activity is one where you break a sweat 10-20 mins into it; heavy activity is intense all the way.

I may have that one -- it's older and she does some squats at the end of one (i think 2 miles)

i have also read 1 pt per mile. For me the Walkaerobics are a lighter workout, but i've been exercising for several years too. If I do my PowerWalk 3 miler with hand weights the entire way I count it as moderate.

it's your choice, do what you are comfortable with and maybe sometimes you put more into then other days and that's ok too.::yes::

Way to go, Renee! You'll soon learn the routine and then it will be much easier! The activity points you earn depends on your weight, amt of time you exercise and the intensity of the exercise. I count WATP as moderate exercise and since I am at 197 pounds, I count the 1 mile tape (about 20 min.) as 1 pt and the 2mi (about 30 min.) as 2 points.

I think it would be great if you can do the 1 mi before work and the 2 mi in the evening! The more activity points the better! (And the more you can eat!)

Good luck with WATPing!! :sunny:
