I had been doing so well, I started Atkins in early Jan of this year and had been so good (expect for a treat maybe every other week) like Ohana's once and a reg. Tortilla once at the eat in movie place. So our cruise was last week and the week leading up to it I tried to empty the fridge so we wouldn't have spoiled food when we came home... so I cheated... potatoes, corn, and on and on... only gained 3 pounds over a week. TILL I went on my cruise. Assuming it was a once in an anytime soon experience I allowed myself to taste whatever I wanted. I'm talking two appertisers (soup and something else each night), main dish and then sometimes I would taste two diff. desserts. I did pick out the low or sugar free items when I could (ie; splenda for coffee, sugar free syrup for the pancakes, no lemonade or punch just decaf ice tea to drink). So I'm thinking I didn't do too bad... infact my shorts actually fit better... TILL I got home and jumped on the scale... OMG. I went from 350 in Jan, to 312 right before we left to 315 the Saturday before cruise and when I got home I hit 327... holy yikes! Thats 12 pounds!?!?!
Well went back on Atkins starting Tuesday morning, and Whew... already down to 316. Thats 11 pounds gone in three days... thank god I was so afraid everything I struggled for was gone. Thats the last time I do that for a VERY long time.... anyone else go through Yo Yo periods before? I am so happy its almost gone already but wow I didn't know you could put on 12 pounds in a week!! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

Don't worry, don't look back and just be glad you enjoyed your cruise. When I decide to go off, I don't obsess about it. I know it will cause a gain (usually, as in your case, a lot is water weight) and I know I will be going right back on. I am off plan until Monday, but will jump right back on then. I will continue to drink my water, and I still will use splenda instead of sugar, but I won't fret about the choices I make. That is why I find it works so much better for me to 'plan' my days off. I would have a much harder time if I didn't have a plan and just went on and off when ever I wanted too. You have done so well and I know you will continue to excel.
