I've read quite a few threads where people seem to agree that it's smarter to have a stroller for 4, 5, and 6 year olds. It definetely makes sense to me, I'm sure my 4 yo won't mind a ride every now and then. My question... does anyone know of any companies that make umbrella strollers large enough for these kids to be comfortable? Thanks for any advice.

Most strollers have weight limits from 40-45 lbs. This one says it hold a child up to 50 lbs.

Once your child gets bigger than that, your options dwindle. I don't have personal experience but I have read other DISers post that the WDW rental strollers are pretty sturdy and will hold a bigger/heavier child.

We have travelled with our older DS since he was a baby to WDW. As he got older, we found that the umbrella strollers weren't really practical. The strollers at the parks are much nicer and very sturdy. My DS was even riding in it when he was 6 and was more than comfortable.

I have an almost 6 year old that tires easily. I plan to rent when/if needed. I don't want to hassle with our own stroller. Good luck and have fun!!:sunny:

Thanks everyone for the great advice. Since we already have to travel with one stroller for our baby, I guess it would be much smarter to rent the additional stroller when needed at the park.
