View Full Version : Is SOG cheapest place to get APs? and water park passes?

Is Shades of Green the cheapest place to buy Annual Passes since they don't charge tax? How about water park passes, are there discounted prices for these anywhere? Thanks!

shades of Green has passes that are cheaper, but you must have a military ID to purchase them. The reason there is no sales tax is that SOG is considered military/government property and , just like on a military base, ther can be no sales tax charged. Hope this helps!

Yes we know SOG is for military, DH is retired military so we have IDs. We were going to stay at SOG but decided to stay on disney property instead. Just wondering if that's the best deal we'll get on APs and water park passes.

I finally got someone at the ticket office and current AP prices are 371 and 311 for adulat and child regular APs, 486 and 409 for adult and child PAPs. If anyone knows of any better deals and want to share, I'd appreciate it!

Yes, it is the best place for tickets. You can get a length of stay pass there even if you are not staying there. It is cheaper than the length of stay passes at the other resorts. You can only buy it at SOG, not at your local ticket office on base. It is worth the trip over to buy your passes there. We are!

Forgot this part: I think you can also get the premium annual passes there, which include unlimited admission to the water parks and DisneyQuest. And yes, they do have reduced waterpark tickets there, too.

Up till recently I thought SOG was the cheapest, however I joined the Hotwire Savings Club for the meal vouchers and found the passes to be cheaper, we got the 6-day park hopper plus about $6 cheaper than SOG.

Just to see if I've got it right, you can only get length of stay passes at SOG? You cant' get them on base like you can other tickets? I've found the prices are a little better for hopper tickets on base.

From what I have been told, That's right-length of stay can only be purchased at SOG to get the discount. You can usually get park hoppers on base, but the length of stay is the only pass (other than prem annual) that will get you into DQ as well as the parks and the waterparks.
