I was debating on purchasing an Orlando (is that the one I need to get?)Entertainment book, they have gone down to $15, for our trip to Disney, just in case, but wasn't sure if it was worth it. We will not have a rental car and are staying at a Disney resort. Are there any discounts for inside Disney? or DTD? Is it worth it, or is it a waste? Also, does anyone know if it has any discounts for the travel to/from airport(towncar or otherwise)? Thanks SO much for ANY advice!

:Pinkbounc I just got my Orlando book 2 days ago. I have alreayd seen it pay for itself and I haven't even gone down yet!! We will be going to Gatorland (my Nephew loves gators and snakes) and the admission in the book is BOGO free there are 2 coupons. that is already saving us $40. There are tons of fastfood coupons and loads of Ice cream ones too. There are 2 coupons for free go kart rides and loads of mini golf coupons. We plan on spending a lot of time of Disney property only doing the parks. The Ringling brothers have a BOGO coupon in it and I can use it here in Rochester for May (along with the one from our local Entertainment book) Order it fast! It is worth it if you will be moving around area while on vacation.

First of all yes, the Orlando Entertainment book is the one you want if you want to buy the whole book and are going before sometime in November, 2004. (I forget the exact date it expires)
Go to http://www.entertainmentbooks.com
The books are $10.00 each (don't know about shipping)...or you can hit "view list of all books" and then hit the picture on the right if you want to just buy the Orlando subscription for a month for $3.99 and then cancel it. (It's ok to do this, I asked)...also you can actually view the coupon offers i the book before you buy it.
My family did the online subscription thing last December/January and we got huge 2 for 1 hot fudge sundaes at Ghiradelli's in DTD and also 2 for1 passes to do the wind tunnel (unbelievable!) which was a $35 savings alone...lol and as entertaining to watch as it was to do! There was also a 2-1 lobster dinner then, but I don't know if these specials are still going...surf the site and see!

I surfed the site and the only thing I noticed in DTD was Ghiradellis'. What is the wind tunnel?
That's the thing is that we are staying ON property with no rental car, so I wasn't sure if I would benefit from the book being that the only thing I'd probably use it for was things IN Disney or DTD and maybe a towncar to and from. Otherwise we aren't getting off property at all.

As I noted on another thread be careful with some of the offers in Entertainment. They are not in the book but must be printed off line, an example is the Ghridelli coupon. If you just grab the book and go without being careful you will leave some of the coupons at home. Also, you need to print them as close to use as possible since they are only good for 2 weeks.

It's not actually called the wind tunnel...it's called Skyventure and it's "Orlando's high energy indoor skydiving" attraction. After suiting up you float on a column of air (a few feet off the ground). Professional skydivers give you instructions. How old are your children? If you have one that loves this kind of thing it will be the absolute highlight of the trip. Our children (14, 14, and 16) do this every time they come and they think it is tops! (Google it, I think they even have a site)
I guess it's really not practical to do much of anything in the Entertainment Book if you don't have a rental car. Hey, that gives you a perfect excuse for a second trip (lol) You'll just have to come back another time and do some of the other things after your wonderful total Disney trip! There's a lot to be said about just staying and relaxing on property...and it's not as if one suffers from a dearth of exciting choices.
The best ever family trip we had was one that we parked the car and didn't even unlock it for a whole week...DH especially appreciated that!

Thanks for all your advice. I was wanting to see if there were many discounts for in disney or Dtd, after looking it over, I see that without a rental car it wouldn't save me that much, so I guess I'll pass.....Thanks again!
