I bought a suit recently for our now-finished trip (but hopefully for the summer also) and, I was a little upset with the WET fit.

Lemme try to explain....I knew trying it on that it would feel snug, be harder to get on while dry so, I didn't pick the really snug one, just the normal snug one....follow me?

So, it fits fine but, when it gets wet, the back of the suit loosens or, expands and, keeps falling down. I mean the part on your back not your 'backside'. ;)

HOW in the world can you know what a suit will do when WET when you're in a dressing room trying the thing on DRY?!?! THAT'S hard enough as it is!

Thankfully, I didn't spend the (way) upwards of $50 on a suit (like I saw ON SALE) but still, it was almost $40. I may need to go buy another, smaller suit for the summer. HOW can I tell what it'll do when WET??

TIA

Kim

Hi!

Maybe if you can feel if the material is a heavier gauge (sturdy)?

I think the Spandex part of the material is important.

I got great swimsuits with shorts from Venusswimwear.com. Their fabric is really good. Then I also got some cute, inexpensive swimsuits from Walmart. I am enjoying the cheaper ones just as much, but in both the fit and by touch, you can tell they aren't as "sturdy."

I think the heavier weight material helps to "hold things in" better, too, if you know what I mean! ;)

Any swimsuit experts out there?

Have a great weekend! :)

I'm a huge fan of Lands End suits. They are the very best IMHO. Have you tried them? I always order from catalog, but Sears carries a few of them.
