Gu is a brand of energy "gels" to be eaten during an extended workout. Same idea as PowerBar or other energy bar, but as it's a liquid, Gu is easier to eat and digest for quicker energy repletion.

GU brand is definitely a gel.....not quite liquidy, but you do *suck* it out of the package....some of the flavors are really sicky-sweet...raspberry for example :crazy2: Banana and orange are my favorites of GU

Power Gel is much thicker....more like frosting. I don't particularly care for most of the Power Gel flavors I've had....too *heavy* and I can barely stomach the entire packet....I need much more water to wash it down when I use Power Gel

They are great products if you are doing any kind of endurance activites.......It's a really good idea, though, to buy a variety of flavors/brands to find one you like before you try to rely on it in an event!
