We will be in WDW from Oct. 15 to 23 and would like to attend the MNSSHP in Magic Kingdom. My question is, when you purchase a ticket for the evenings festivities, does it count against your Park Hopper Pass, or is admission to the park included in the MNSSHP ticket?
I'm just trying to make the best use of the Park Hopper Pass.

If you purchase a MNSSHP ticket for, say, October 31 and you go into the park specifically and only to go to the party, then it will not count against your Hopper. However ... if you decide you want to go into the parks that day during the day, then it will. Because you'd be in the parks during the day and then going to the "hard-ticket" event at night. The MNSSHP ticket gets you into the park for the event only in the evening, not for the entire day of the event.

Does that make sense?

That sure helps, thanks. Any idea when the 2004 dates will come out? I've done some searches, and can only find the 2003 dates.

Is it possible to purchase tickets in advance, or do we have to get them at MK that day? If we are able to buy them ahead of time, how would I go about doing so (who sells them)?

They can be bought over the phone (Disney's main number) and at the Disney website. They will be cheaper than buying down at MK but you will pay $3. shipping.

They went on sale the end of April last year so keep checking here for when they do release the dates and tickets!
