My dd (9) loves to watch the animals inside Animal Kingdom. Is there a restaurant with viewing of the animals. I would love to go there for lunch or early dinner. Kids are sorta picky but hopefully kids meal is fine.
Thanks

You will not be able to see the animals while you dine at AKL. There are three choices of restuarants. Jiko, is the full service place, and a wonderful unique experience. Chef Annette Grecchi Gray has traveled in Africa to learn the use of spices and particular cooking techniques. There is an extensive wine list to choose from.

Boma is the buffet and will feature some standard children's selections. The food is generally nicely done, although was better when the restaurant first opened. The wine list is not as extensive.

Then there is Mara the little convenience counter service place. Has some selections that are unique, and some that are familiar. Dine in or take out.

The restaurants in AK are all counter service. The Rainforest Cafe is outside the entry gate and affords no view of the park.

The counter service restaurants inside the park do not necessarily afford any better a view of the animals, but you can take your meal to places where you can watch while you dine. Think picnic, eating out of hand, or off a bench.

I guess you could get something in Mara and sit outside near the pool and "maybe" see animals on the savannah. The problem is, you would most likely have to stand while eating to see any animals.

Donald's Breakfastasaurus: Good.

Resturauntasaurus: the worst anywhere.

even though these are in the same building, breakfast is very different from lunch and dinner. Write it down.
