Update with my dress pictures

I have'nt been around much posting lately. I've been so busy these last few months. I wanted you all to know that i still come and read and when i feel i can offer somthing i jump in. A big hi to Dan i read your post the other day. Congradulations to Kathy and Robin on your new "jobs". Kathy I'll be talking to you soon i have so much to tell you. Cinmell, wiskband, kaye and jim you guys are rocking! I love reading your post ya'll have really hung in there and look at the pay off! And to all my other wish buddy's you guys are amazing and i'm inspired reading your posts. As for me i'm doing great and keeping my weight off i still have'nt gotten those last 5 bls yet but i'm in no hurry i'm very happy where i'm at hanging in the low 140's. I mentioned before i've been busy and some of my wish buddy's know why. We are celebrating our 10th anniversary soon and we are renewing our vows on rosemary beach in florida. We are doing it all the dress, cake, reception, flowers pictures everything complete with a two part honeymoon. We have rented a house and are having close family and friends come to the ceremony. The inspiration for my weight loss was this event. Today was especially close to my heart reminding me of what this board and members here mean to me. I got THE call my dress was in from the designers! OMG my heart sank. I tried on the dress back in january two sizes to small so i'm frantic about how it's really gonna look on me now. I think i'll be okay but without this board and loosing all the weight i needed to i could have NEVER pulled off this gown style and hopefully i will be able to wear it without looking like a dork in it. :) I should have the gown by friday and my fitting is tuesday so sometime between now and then i will be back and post pictures. I just wanted to stop by and say that even though i'm not here posting i'm reading and i have not forgotten about you all. This board is and the people here are the reason i can be so excited about my big event.

Hi guys. I was'nt getting a email that i had replies i just dropped by and saw all of the responses. Hey my dress should make it today guys.! They second day usps it to me. I"m so nervous you have no idea. When ya'll see that dress you'll understand my well being worried how it'll look. That thing will WEAR ME not the other way around. LOL It's sorta an informal but not. It's not puffy and church like it's more flowing made of a chiffon skirt with no poof to it really. I"m almost certain i will not wear any slip under it i don't want the poof either. I'm doing a beach wedding you know i don't want to get all out there and be looking silly in a huge gown. Oh i'm trying to stay calm but i'm so wired and i can't tell you how much you all mean to me. At least i want hear you all laughing at me and i know you'll all be honest and tell me if i look like a dork right. Ya'll would'nt let me wear something that looked alwful would you? I have time and can wear off the rack stuff so i want honesty more than anything. Oh and when ya'll see my hair have no fear. IT's me i have gone blonde and i have'nt had my appointment yet so it's looking tired that's the 15th i go in for that so it's nice and fresh looking. Okay i'm gonna get dressed for work and try my best not to knock the ups man down if i see the truck at work today. (the dress will come to our business) I have camera in tow and batteries charged i could come home with pictures today! I will post as soon as i get home and update you guys hopefully with the pictures.

Tammy - I don't really know you nor do I know what you looked like before but I will tell you that you and the dress are beautiful. It's a very pretty dress and I don't think you look like a dork in it. From the looks of your clippie, you have come a LONG way. Congratulations on that! I really appreicate all the support. I really am so nervous still. I thought i could get home look at the pictures and calm down and relax about the dress but i have'nt yet. It feels great on i just thing it's so not me. I got this Maggie cause my husband and i sat down and looked at her ENTIRE collection he narrowed his likes down to five and of course this one was number one to him. So that's what i got it. I love it too don't get me wrong but just self consious about the dress.

For those that i did'nt get a chance to know yet i posted some pictures over my dress pictures in the same post. Lord that was freaky to look back like that. But it gives you an idea of what 95 lbs might look like on a 5"8 frame. I'm 142 now and a size 8 in jeans if that helps anyone trying to calucalate. I was a size 20 and a 1/2x shirt. I know i'm never gonna be a super model mom i have triplet girls that will turn 4 this june and a 12 yo girl. I just want to TRY to keep up with them and being so heavy it was really wearing on me esp. after my difficult pg with the triplets.

To think that you all take the time to respond in my time of needing reassurance is just heartwarming to me. I think luv2nascar is right. I still see myself as a 200+ lb women trying to pull off a risky dress. It was really alkward today i tried on that dress but i never looked in the mirror not once! I only looked at it when i got home and saw the photos i downloaded here on wish. It's kinda surreal to me i know that sounds stupid but it's just hard getting in the mind set i could look decent in something so beautiful. I really wanted a Maggie Sottero wedding gown but i never dreamed i'd have a backless one! What was my dh thinking i guess he does'nt see me as i see my self. He said that's my favorite right off the bat. He does'nt know which dress i picked out and will not see it until we are at the ceremony. I did'nt even bring it home it's in storage at my dad's business. So he'll be totally surpised i actually got his favorite on the bright side this has inspired me to get my butt back to the gym asap.LOL I was seeing some nice toning for a few weeks but i got so wrapped up in projects at work and weddding planning i have'nt been in almost 3 weeks. So i'll be back at in no time flat now.

Thank you all so much for the reassurance. I can''t believe kayla you showed you dh. How sweet to add his comments. I'm trying to talk myself out of doubting myself. I"m gonna stay with this dress. It was my second dress i had another one on order that I picked out. It was very plain and not showy at all but i was afraid it was too simple. It had no beading or anything that would pop out at you. I guess i wanted to blend. I wish i could look in the mirror and see what you all have seen. I am gonna try to loose a few more pounds before my big day. I want to do all i can to try to pull this dress off. My arms have toned a bit from the gym but my tummy still needs work. I don't want to gain a lb from my 142 i'd love to get down to my low of 138 if possible. I'm not gonna sweat it though the gown is perfect at my current weight.

Please know that getting used to your "new" body may take some time. Maybe you should have DH or someone else take some current pictures of you. Then keep those pictures with you and look at them several times a day. When you close your eyes and try to picture yourself, you can only picture you the way you were. Look at some current pics on a regular basis and your mind will be able to picture you as you are now.

Tammy, enjoy your big day, but more importantly, enjoy EVERY day. You've succeeded at doing what so many people have tried to do and failed - you've become a much healthier person and that's a gift to your husband, your kids, your family and friends, and especially yourself!!

What do you tell a group of people that have helped you, consoled you and offered there time to help you? I just have to say that i am just amazed by the friendships i have made here on wish. Dan you made me cry today at lunch when i checked this thread. I have teared up with almost every post i have read in this thread. I think i'm gonna print it and take it with me to my fitting for the dress on tuesday to keep me postive. Robin you and Micheal all so sweet I can't wait to hook up at universal with you all again. And hopefully i'll be meeting a lot of you at the wish walk in jan 05. I have been thinking seriously about trying to take off my last five pounds just to have so ley way with the trip but i'm just not pumped up to do it. Everyday i get the don't loose no more you'll look sick. They can't see my pudgy tummy though. I did get motive to get back to the gym this morning although i was running a temp and felt horrible. My husband sent me home from work early today and i have just laid around like a limp doll. My legs are so sore. I'm going out of town monday to do some shopping for our trip it's almost here. Lets see 27 days before we leave! I was one pound from my 100 lb goal back in jan but i've been somewhat happy to maintain since november 142-144. I eat what i want which is nice then i chill for a few days and it just works for me. I think i just need some serious gym time to firm my tummy/butt up and if i can get 5lbs in the mean time that would be cool too. I'm rambling i know but i just want to share with you all without starting another thread. I'm not good in a crowd i like to just jump in where no body notices me. Hmmmmm think that's related to my fear of the dress? Standing out in the crowd and not blending in? :eek: I really do appreiciate each one of you taking the time to reply to me. If there is anything you guys need even when i'm not around all the time. Help, advise, or just someone to hash out a stall with i'm here and would love to help you. WOW! You look so great! What an accomplishment. I too am 5' 8" and am truly insprired by you. I started a bit higher than you (248) and have lost 28 pounds so far. I have several goals-1st to get down to what I was in 2000 before I had my 2nd & 3rd child (210), then onderland, then what I was in 1993 before I went to graduate school (185) and then maybe...what I was when I got married 20 years ago (165). You have given me renewed hope that I can make those goals a reality.

How do your girls react to the new you? They must LOVE having a mom who can keep up with them. Do they recognize old photos of you? I want to loose this weight first for me but also for my children (ages 5,3,1). As my oldest starts public school I don't want them to be embarrased by their fat mom.

Your DH knew exactly what he was doing when he picked out that dress. He sees you as he has for the past 10 years ... the love of his life. I do understand what you're saying about still seeing the "old you" ... it's a tough adjustment to make mentally. I've always hated having pictures taken, but especially because of the weight. Sorry i missed all these new post. I had to go out of town for a couple of days. I had my dress fitting today before i came home and it was fantastic. She's gonna move the halter position so the bust does'nt push out anymore. I'm so excited. It's so nice to be here with all of you again and get to meet new memebers that are on there way to health and happiness!

I went to get her outta band one day and the next day she came home to tell me her friends asked her if i was her sister.LOL She's constantly wanting to wear my cool hipster jeans with the rag out legs and my neat tank tops.LOL It's so funny. I bought me a shirt very very short to wear to bike week with my husband a few weeks ago. She saw that and had a fit. Of course i don't wear things like that here at home or anywhere.

Colleen i'm so glad you found us! Is'nt this just the best boards you've seen! The people here are so great. I know your getting a ton of info for your upcoming honeymoon at the world! I'm not a disney freak (ducking) but love universal and do visit disney with the kids. PartyofSix, I must say that you look absolutley stunning in your dress. You are such an inspiration as my goal is to be at goal weight before we set our date for our wedding. You look like a new person I thought maybe at first the photos were of someone else.... so WOW thats awesome!
