Since I have decreased in size I need to buy a new bathing suit (my least favorite task mind you). In my pre-weight loss days I always bought a one piece with a little skirt, but this year I am going out on a limb and buying a one piece without the skirt (and hopefully it won't look too bad). I have been looking through the web high and l low and I finally found a cute suit (http://www.silhouettes.com/Parent.asp?product=506865x&dept%5Fid=9500) but darn my luck the smallest size it comes in is a 16! I know I should be happy about this, but I am bummed because I can't seem to find anything I like. Does anyone know of any good websites where I can find a nice bathing suit??? I need all the suggestions I can get because I am quite picky when it comes to wearing something that shows it all.

Don't depend on a website for a bathing suit. Go to the store and try it on! I was at JCP and they had ALOT of suits this weekend. I ended up getting a tankini with a little skirt. Not the stomach showing kind -- the kind that covers all. But, I would have never been able to get a good fit on line. I tried on quite a few until I found that perfect fit.:sunny:

I have to agree... I've been doing online bathing suit shopping this year, and I have spent SO MUCH MONEY on shipping, due to returns and re-orders. Next year I'm just going to the store.

my guess is that they must have it in samller sizes.....somewhere. Does Delta Burke have a website that might have suits in smaller sizes? Just an idea????

Cute suit!!! I agree, that does not look like a size 16--although suits do run on the small end.
I get a lot of suits from Kohl's (I think you can order online) sometimes Venus Swimwear, they have a lot of patterns, and any style, cut you are looking for. (lots of 2 pieces, but also come in one pieces) I have gotten suits from Victoria's Secret and also Newport News.
Good Luck and I'll talk to you soon!!:wave2:

Hi,

I have to say my favorite swimsuits are from Lands End...they fit in all the right places and they do not ride up like others. Even in my slim and trim days I couldn't stand how bathing suit bottoms fit. I have been buying my suits from Lands End for years now and wouldn't buy anywhere else...

Congratulations on buying a "non-skirt" suit! You are going to look FABULOUS in it!!!

I would LOVE to be able to go to a store to try on a suit. For that matter I would LOVE to go to a store to try on clothes! But unfortuneately Italy is a little far for a mall visit. And by Italian standards I ams still considered a larger woman. Their swimwear and a lot of their clothes are very, very skimpy.

I will check out the websites listed. Thank you all for your input.

I agree that Land's End has good suits. Best of luck!

Another vote for Lands End suits! AND they have tankinis, which can be very flattering! More so, IMO than some one-pieces! And if you are long torso'ed like me, they are a God send! ;)

Believe me they know how to pin and tuck those big clothes to fit women we WISHED we looked like in those pictures!

It IS cute, though!

Yep. They'll have a selection of Lands' End suits... but nowhere as extensive as the selection available from them online.
