Rhino Rally Closes After Accdident

One of the 17-passenger Land Rovers on the Rhino Rally ride at Busch Gardens Tampa tipped over between the rhinos and the crocodiles yesterday.

Word is that there were no serious injuries and that the passengers were never in danger from the animals, but the ride has been closed down until they determine what caused the vehicle to tip over.

The ride wasn't working when we were last there anyway!

Based on the St Pete Times story, it seems like driver error was the most likely cause. As I recall, the terrain at that point is pretty flat. There are some spots earlier on in the ride where the road way purposely tilts quite dramataically.

I hope they "fix" whatever needs fixing soon. It's a fun ride.
