I wanted to order Flippers pizza when we are staying at HRH. Does anyone know the phone # for the closest location to Universal? Also, do we need to meet the delivery person in the lobby or do they come to the room? Do they have a website?

Thanks, T&B

Here's the address & phone number:

Flippers Pizza
7480 Universal Blvd.
Orlando, FL 32819
(407) 351-5643

Yep, you'll need to meet the delivery person in the lobby. I couldn't find a website for them. Mmmm...pizza. :D

They have awesome pizza for florida pizza. Nothing like New York, but still good!

Yep, I'm heading the wrong way on I95 for NY pizza. But since it's warmer in FL than in NY I can handle that. :teeth: Actually, I've never had true NY pizza.

AllieKat, Thanks for the info. I'll make sure we order it!

Looks like there's one on Kirkman Rd (with the 0607 #) and one on Universal Blvd. I assume the Univ Blvd is closest to Universal Studios?

Hmm, I can mail you guys pizza's from the state of NY, but not the city. If I send them regular mail you can scrape the green stuff and enjoy. Maybe on second thought overnight delivery would be best.:D :bounce:

If u are using flippers get the no from conceirge as it saves problems front desk will ring your room to let u know they are there but as essmom says about the illness I also had this but my wife and kids where ok so do not know what caused it but it was after flippers it may have been their dipping sauce as I was only one who had this:jester:

I'm looking at the maps. The one on Kirkman is just South of a Publix, which is located at the NW corner of Conroy road. Not far at all.

Also found a location on Sand Lake Rd at the corner of Turkey Lake Road. There is a Publix to the west of this location on the South side. Address is 7335 Sandlake Rd (407) 852-9026.

I'll probably just drive there and pick mine up, and get some snacks from Publix along the way.

Just wanted to say, Tigger&Belle, HAVE FUN!!! Looks like tomorrow is your day! Are you the one who was picked for the Travel Channel Disney show?

Thanks!!! We won't be at Universal until Sunday, but we leave tomorrow afternoon to start our drive. My DH and older 3 kids go to Kennedy Space Center on Saturday (and lunch with the astronaut)--I hang out at the beach with our 4yo (poor me ;) ). Then on to Universal for 3 days. Fun, fun, fun! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

You'll have fun on your trip. I stayed at Pop Century last month with my 4yo and we had a good time. RPR is beautiful. We're staying at HRH this time, but stayed at RPR last April.

Nope, we're not the travel channel family. That could be fun, though.

Highlander- I don't think essmom meant that the pizza made them sick. I think she was saying that they ordered pizza because some of them were sick and didn't want to leave the room. Anyway, we just ordered from Flippers while we were there a few weeks ago and it was great. The prices are very reasonable and the pizza tasted like it had been just taken right from the oven. I think next time we might try some of the other items besides the pizza just because we LOVE Italian food.;)

Pretty sure that The Flippers on the corner of Kirkman and Conroy is the closest to any Universal property or hotel. Very good pizza for FL, but their subs are really tasty and a better bet than their pizza.

But, if you want something really special, try PR's Mexican Restaurant located directly next to the Kirkman Flipper's. Amazing (this coming from someone who has lived in NY, FL, and Texas) American-Mexican cuisine and a personal favorite is the blackened shrimp fundido. Also a recommendation to Firehouse subs which is located in the same mall as Flipper's and PR's.
