Do you think we have enough interest to get together a DIS/DVC Board Cruise next year. some people expressed an interest in a 7 day - Western Carribean Cruise. We could always try for the fall and hope for another DVC/DCL discount.

We are planning western next fall but are hoping for either a point or cash sale. We are on a wait and see basis now. But it's a great idea. Sounds like fun.

Being an avid DVC points borrower, it won't be until 2003 that we can cruise again. And that's only if we skip our 2002 WDW vacation! :eek:

I'd love to join you but I fear that it won't happen this time. Great idea though.

I was just discussing a cruise with DH last night for the year 2002 - so if you are going to plan this, how soon will we all know if it is in the works. I hate to book and then have to change my ressie. Please let me know if this will be a happening thing!

I am thinking sometime during the Fall in hopes that they will offer another Fall Fantasy Rate for points. Maybe Sept or October??? We will not be able to book anything with points until 11 months out. I am just getting a feel to see if it is do-able.

Towncrier, why not join us on cash instead of points. We may end up paying cash too. It depends on whether my Brother and family decide to do WDW with us this Spring.

CASH!!! - Mrs. Towncrier would leave me. I made the mistake of playing that card in 1999 when I told her that it would be "silly" to pay for a cruise when we could use that money to buy more DVC points and use them to cruise. She reminds me of that everytime that I mention paying cash for either another cruise or to extend our stay at WDW. If it were up to me, I'd beg and borrow (but not steal) to get the cash for another 7-day cruise. In an ideal world, we would be cruising on the inaugural 7-day Western Caribbean sailing. But alas, it is not to be. Still, if I started putting away my lunch money....
