Is it possible to rent a car from Sept 29 - Oct. 6 for use at DW and USF/IOA and return it prior to cruising on Oct. 6 and pick up after cruise for one day to airport on Oct. 13th?

Trying no to keep a car at PC for the entire week and pay for both the vehicle and parking. But will need it the day we disembark.

Any suggestions?

This sounds like two separate rentals. Price them out and compare with renting for the longer period plus paying for parking (sometimes one-day rentals are expensive because they are particularly targeted at business travelers). Also consider using a town car service for the trip from the boat to the airport when you disembark.

Ralph,

Thanks for your response. I think I may have a plan. I will rent the car for my time on land and return it the day of the cruise. I will talk my older brother (lives in Clermont) into picking us up at the port and entertaining us until our flight at 5:00 p.m.

Question is, who should I rent from? Is there an agency that allows me to pick up at the airport and return at the port area? I am a DC member and Nat'l EA member.

Are you taking a Disney cruise? If so, I am suggesting only if you are. Rent a car at the airport, leave the car at the hotel. If it is a Disney cruise, I believe they will pick you up at the hotel. I would check into this. You can rent I believe both National and Dollar at the airport and leave them at your hotel or a site close to your hotel. Just a thought!

You could rent from Avis. They have a rental counter at the Radisson at Port Canaveral and a shuttle to and from the Port. We did this our last trip. Just be prepared for a wait, the Avis counter at the Radisson was not the speediest service I have ever received.
