Hi,
We're taking our infant to WDW in May when she'll be a week shy of 9 months old. Are we nuts to take her to TL? My view is we take turns watching her while the other enjoys. DW's view is taking a 9 month old there is insane. I'd be interested in the experiences of those who've done this with a child of a similar age.
Thx,
Pat

We took our dd when she was 6 months old, 13 months old and to Blizzard Beach at 22 months old. She loved it! She is a fish and had already taken some swimming lessons. We pretty much just floated around the lazy river rides with her until the 22 month old trip where she played at the edge of the water and dug in the sand too.
Lots and lots of sunscreen!

We took DD the week after 1st birthday. She loved the lazy rivers. We let play a little bit on the edge of the pools.

I guess it would be up to what your DD likes. Our DD has been to WDW several times, but we have not taken her to a water park. She is quite happy with the pool. But, if you and DW want to go, I am sure you will be able to accomodate your DD.
Our DD will be 18 months tomorrow and we are going back to WDW in May for her 6th trip.

We took ds at 9mths. He splashed around in the kiddie areas and floated with me on the lazy river. I brought his life jacket with me and used it on the river just in case, though we had no problems.

Speaking from my experience, when we had little ones or when I was pregnant, I HATED going to the water parks. I usually ended up in the child area and the rest would go on the slides. The little ones can only do the kiddie area, lazy river and the wave pool. So we spent the money for me, and I wasn't even using the slides. My DH would have switched places with me, but I didn't want to go without him. So by choice I stayed with the kids. I would have rather saved the money and went to the resort pool. So we waited until the youngest could go on some slides before we went again.

In follow-up to the previous reply, if you are asking about going to use a Plus option, I'd absolutely say go for it.
We went to BB on Saturday with an 11 1/2 mo. There is a kiddie area there like at TL. Any little one can have fun in the zero depth pool and on a kiddie slide on an adult's lap. As mentioned earlier they can go down the lazy river or hang at the beach.
If you are thinking of buying tickets specifically to go to a water park, then its really how much you like the slides and attractions, because the little one would enjoy any hotel pool as much as a water park.
