NBC Makeover for HM WDW?

Has anyone heard if they are going to do Haunted Mansion Holiday at WDW this year? I would love to see it there.

I've heard that no, it will not happen this year. The budget had been shifted and allocated to make the Stitch attraction better. Thus, Haunted Mansion Holiday is pushed to 2005.

In my opinion I hope it never happens. Personally I don't see a solid connection of NBC and the Haunted Mansion that should warrant a linking of the two. However an NBC attraction on it's own would work well in DL and WDW.

I'm personally all for a makeover for the holidays for the World's mansion, BUT, I'm glad that it won't be closed during my honeymoon for the makeover! :smooth:

I have seen the HM twice like this (decorated with NBC theme) at DL, and I enjoyed it and thought it was done well.

I believe they are doing another haunted mansion event, like they have for the past two years, down in WDW.

At last year's Haunted Mansion event, I was told by a cast member that this year's Haunted Mansion event had already been reserved. The plans were in the works. He did say they were going to do the HMH just as in DL. But, we all know that news can change, and change, and change. It will be interesting to see just what is put together, especially since so many attendees expressed disappointment in last year's event.

I heard a rumor on this very subject last week... Specifically that the NBC Overlay would not happen at WDW until the folks as DL could get the changeover down to one week. The theory being that WDW can't afford (or won't take the chance) of having the Haunted Mansion down for more than a single week.

Anyway, that's what I heard...

I saw an article on how they pulled funding saying Stitch was a better draw than HM change for holiday.In 2005 it is supposed to be a go as funding is being added and DLR had rights thru 2004.

Screamscape had a rumor about a week ago claiming the makeover is still scheduled for this year.
And i couldnt agree more with YoHo. having seen the make over 2 yrs ago at DL. It is one of the best things disney has done in years and is a great attraction!!!! Im all in favor of the makeover and hope it does happen as i will be at wdw this Dec.
Now if only they get the osborne lights back up!!!!!!!!!!!!
