Beaches and cream or Ghiraldellis ?

Is the ice cream at Beaches n Cream much nicer than at Ghiraldelis ? or are they both the same ?
I always plan to go to BnC but never get round to it.:sunny:

As I'm sure you already know the locations are different. Both had great milk shakes. We were at B&C around 9pm and it was a long take out line and not very clean (probably due to it being the end of a long day). We couldn't find an outdoor table to sit at that wasn't all sticky and dirty. :( I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again but I wouldn't avoid it if I were at BC/YC.

We did not get ice cream this trip from Ghiradelli's because the line was sooooo long. It was the night before Mardi Gras and very warm and DTD was packed but we have had "lunch" there before.... milkshakes!:p

I haven't tried Beaches and Cream yet - but Ghiradelli's is a MUST now at every trip. I have never tasted hot fudge like that before.......sooooo gooood!

I have been to Beaches and Cream, but have only been to the Ghirardelli's in Myrtle Beach. I had the hot fudge sundae at Ghirardelli's and was so-so. It was very blane, but the Beaches and Cream ice cream was very rich and creamy. I love Beaches and Cream.

We hit both last trip and we all agreed BnC was better hot fudge. The Ghiradelli's hot fudge seemed a darker, less sweet type of hot fudge. We like sweeter chocolate. I personally thought BnC was a really cute restaurant as well.

The ice cream at Beaches and Cream is very good. They have great sundaes with lots of variety. In my opinion, though, their "regular" food is FANTASTIC! They have the best burgers I've ever had. So if you go, make it lunch and have the sundae for dessert.

Having been to both many times we prefer the ice cream (especially the foghorn sundae) at Ghirardelli. B&C is nice for atmosphere and food. If I had to choose one just for ice cream I would choose Ghirardelli.

We have also been to both many times as well and I just polled our family and Beaches and Creme won hands down. Just an FYI, I do order the same thing at both places so I can compare apples to apples or Sundaes to Sundaes as is the case. BUT, they are both excellent and I would just go to whichever one you are closer to at the time, we do Beaches and Creme several times during a trip since we stay at the Beach Club Villas and we always try to hit Ghiraldellis once.
