We may be going to WDW for our anniversary. We honeymooned at the Grand Floridian so we would like to have a nice dinner there one night. Which would you choose, Citricos or Narcoosee's?Why?

THANKS

They both have delicious food. Citrico's is a little more formal, quieter, takes a little longer and has SPECTACULAR desserts. I woudl vote for Citrico's for a more romantic evening.

Have fun, and congratulations!

I can't compare the two, as we haven't tried Citrico's, but we love Narcoossee's!! The location of this restaurant is great - you get to see and hear the fireworks, and the Electric Water Pageant swims right by!!

We loved the scallops, and DD had the children's filet, and it was very good also. For dessert, DD had the chocolate timbale (not sure if they have it anymore)and I had the Key Lime Creme Brulee, which was delicious!! Oh, and how could I forget our favorite, the Butternut Squash and Crab soup?!! I'm drooling just thinking about it!! (I wonder what's in the kitchen?) :sunny:

Narcoosee's is terrific (especially the butternut squash and crab soup), but Citricos is outstanding. In fact, I prefer it to the California Grill. The service is amazing - the best I've encountered at WDW - and the food is on par with anything I've eaten in the US's best restaurants.

Remember to do the wine pairings, and order the braised lamb if it's on the menu.

We're jus the opposite of k&a&c'smom. We've been to Citrico's many times but never to Narcoossee's. We'll be trying that one night in October. I think wich ever you choose you'll be happy. I also agree with sotoalf. Citrico's is far and away better than the California Grill. On out vistin to Cirtrico's last October, we we able to view the Wishes fireworks right from our table.

I love both Citrico's and Narcoossee's, but my DH always has a hard time finding something he's willing to try at Citrico's. He's strictly a steak & chicken kind of guy, and even then it has to be a filet/boneless breast. I prefer either of these two restaurants to California Grill (have had really ragged service there both times). I'd say Narcoossee's if you have a picky eater, but Citrico's if you're comfortable with different things. My flounder at Narcoossee's in March was excellent, and I usually think of this as a very bland, boring kind of fish.

I do like California Grill's lounge for a drink/appetizer and the view.

Ryan,

DH and I celebrated our anniversary at the GF this past January. We dined at Narcoosee's and although I loved the food, I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet anniversary dinner. While it was nice being right out on the water, the restaurant itself was noisy. For romance, I'd go with Citrico's. They do have a few tables with a Magic Kingdom view and if you time it right, you can see the fireworks from there. Being inside the main building is very nice too. Arrive early, have a drink in Mizner's lounge and listen to the orchestra or piano player.

Citrico's hands down.

We've always had excellent service there, not the case with Narcooses. In fact on our last visit to Cotrico's we had perhaps the best service we've ever had ANYWHERE, and the last visit to Narcooses the service was so bad I'll have second thoughts on returning. :(

As teh others have pointed out, Citrico's is more romantic and relaxing as well.

I agree with ducklite. The service I've encountered in my three visits to Citricos is the best I've gotten anywhere in WDW - including the California Grille. And the food....

Thanks for the replies.

It souds like a toss up.......you guys helped, but not really. now they both REALLY sound good. Hmmmm.....decisions, decisions.

Maybe I'll eat at one while my wife eats at the other and we can just talk on the cell phones during the meal to hold a conversation and describe the meals to each other.....maybe not:)

We still have time to decide.

Thanks

Ryan - LOL! I like the cell phone idea!

I have Narcoossee's penciled in for DH's birthday, but we will have the kids with us, so I thought this may be a better choice.

Sounds to me Citricos would be better for a quiet dinner!
