I have tried to get a PS there and can always get one 30min AFTER Wishes. I have a trip coming next weekend and have fri and sat night to plan. It is our anniversary. We've been to Narcoosees twice and saw it, first time by accident on Valentines day. Would attempting a walk in be a bad mistake? I don't want to go at 4:00 and sit for four hours either though. I'd just as soon go fight Main street. I just didn't know what the chances were? Thanks.

well, you could always book the 30 minutes after timeslot, but go to the observation deck for fireworks. or check in early and hope to get lucky! good luck!

IMO, the fireworks from the CG are not worth any extra hassle. If they 'happen', great but to plan for them specifically seems silly. To really experience Wishes you need to be there. Again, JMO...

I agree with being there but we'll unfortunately have an 8 month old with us and that will be the end of a day. It is also our anniversary(with an 8mo old along....) so we would like to have a nice meal and something different. Been to Narcoosee, Yachtsman, Boma, and Spoodles. Don't really want a buffet either. Staying at BWV so may go try Yachtsman again, it's walking distance too. Hard to beat a good steak.

You could always go up and ask about a walk in - maybe you might get lucky! Or, when you get to Disney, try calling from your hotel.
Or, you might try going down to the beach at the Polynesian to see the fireworks!
Don't know if you'd be able to see the fireworks, but this past October, DH & I tried Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge for the first time, and we really enjoyed our dinner! In fact, its on our "must do" trip in July!!
Enjoy!!

Man... I always forget about Artist Point. I don't remember what the have there. What is it like? Suitable for a spoiled DD8mo:D ? Is it somewhere I can sit and not feel like I want to rush through my meal and go? I love Yachtsman but it isn't somewhere I want to just sit and talk.
