One Day Car Rental At The Dolphin

HI! Either my computer or the National site will not allow me to figure out how much a one day car rental (full size-June 25)would be...has anyone rented for just one day at the Dolphin (pickup and return). Do you remember what your total bill was? Any info will be appreciated...thanks!:)

We rented a compact, and got a Toyota Corolla. We had a two day rental, but returned it in 1 day and that's all we had to pay for. This was 2nd week of November 2003, and the charge with taxes (but no insurance because we're covered on our own auto policy) was about $47.00. Their office was only open until 5, but since we got back after that all we had to do was return it to the valet, and they took care of everything.

It's an Alamo at the Dolphin now.

We just got back and rented a mid-size for 1 day and were upgraded to a mini-van for free. The cost turned out to be 47.00 and we used our Amex so we didn't get the insurance.

We reserved it right on the Alamo site.

It's both, just as the Care Care Center is. Alamo and National are owned by the same company. Reservations for pickup and drop off at the Dolphin are also available on the National web site.

We booked our National rental for p/u and d/o at the Dolphin. National (with codes) was considerably less than Alamo.

How far is the Dolphin rental center from the Yacht/Beach Club?

Drop off is near front entrance of Dolphin, then just walk out the back and you could be back at the Yacht Club in 5 minutes (if you walk slow and take in the sights as you walk!!!

Or for those who are really on vacation, you could catch the boat at the Dolphin and Friendship it back to Y&B (what I wouldn't give to be boating along there right about now!!!)
