I am tired of being on this stall...i have lost about 20 pounds and I have about 40 more to go....I am thinking about doing weight watchers again...anyone have any thoughts about what happened to them when they did the switch? Did they continue to lose weight? I haven't lost a pound in about 3 weeks and I am getting frusterated!

Three weeks is not a long time. The Atkins book says that an official "stall" isn't until 5 weeks, then it gives ideas to break it. Give it some time - the 20 pounds you lost is a lot, and your body is getting used to the idea! Keep with it, and you'll have a "whoosh" soon!
I tried switching to WW one time, and it was a disaster. My body rebelled against all the carbs I added back in, and the low-fat thing definitely didn't work with me. So, I switched back to Atkins, and have been very happy with my health, my energy level, and my weight loss!

I would never want to discourage anyone but heres my story!
I have done LC (not atkins) since sept and lost 35 pounds. Come January I began my very long stall. About 3 weeks ago, I decided to try WW. I went down and joined bought the books the whole 9! Not sure if it was I was having a bad day but I lasted one day! lol. It is a big switch. I posted threads about this as well and there were alot who were successful from one to another but I was not. For me, it was knowing all I knew about carbs that I didnt want to eat the things I was aloowed. Vice versa, I was used to eating certain foods such as cheese, meat, and now I wasn;t allowed to as much as I wanted of those things. Once again, I am sure its a good program (for some) because we know it works. as well as LC, you should try it and see how ya do, Did nto take me long to realize, it wasnt for me. Now, some one at the gym told me to gain a few pounds back by eating whatever I wanted for a few days and then start my LC again. That is totally working. Of course, dont sabotage yourself and go nuts but if you high carbs a few days then go back to LC you may just trcik your metabolism! Good luck wahtever you decide.

Have you looked into South Beach? I tried Atkins last year and it didn't work well for me. I've been doing SB since the beginning of the year and find it a much more livable program. I've lost 30 pounds since 1/1/04. It's also easier to combine some of the principles of WW with SB, yet would be less of a step than switching straight to WW.
