In a regular (not 4-wheel drive) car? Is there a cost?

Yes you can. I think there is a $5 toll for beach driving, but it is more restricted these days and carefully policed.

Part of Daytona Beach is now closed to vehicle traffic. I believe it is 1 mile on each side of the main pier. It is part of a development project and an attempt to make the beach more family friendly. There is still much space to drive, but it is no longer open road from end to end. The fees still are required, of course!!!:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

Steve,
Are there any "critters" on the beach we should be aware of?
Last time I was there I saw what I thought was a "Beached Whale" - but it turned out to be some bloated old trout! - LOL
