OKW fishing

Does anyone have any information about fishing at OKW? Not on an organised boat trip, just from the edge of the waterways.

DH would love to try this when we visit in October, as he used to love doing the same thing at Dixie Landings when we stayed there. He doesn't want to spend the time on a boat trip, just wants to be able to nip down to the water for an hour or so when the rest of us are getting ready, or taking a rest.

He can fish from the shore along the canal. All fishing there is catch-and-release, but he can still enjoy the experience.

If you rent a boat from Hank's, can you fish from it in the DD lake or in the canals ?

Yes you can fish from a rented boat. I did it myself this May. He'll have a great time. A little tip if he watches the guided trips he'll see where there catching fish.
