Well our week is over and I want to thank you guys for your tips on dealing with my son and his asthma at disney.

His asthma is pretty severe so Disney allowed us a GAC pass for him. We did have a note from his doc just in case but they said it wasn't nessesary. A few cast members at the rides (really only 2) were a little short with us. That was very irritating but to look at the little guy you really can't tell anything is wrong.

We kept him confined to a stroller until ride times and most rides let him walk right on. He had almost no stress (standing for long periods or long walking) to aggravate his asthma.

Again, thanks to you all! No hospital visits this time!!

glad it went well for you!
I will never forget our visit when DS was 3. This was before the days of nebulizer battery packs.
We were supposed to have an airplane with the ability to plug in the neb if needed.
That screwed up, and we decided to give him a breathing treatment and risk the 1 1/2 hour ride.
He choked on the sandwich we'd brought for him and thought he needed a treatment.
He was actually all right--but it started a reaction, that every meal we ate that entire week at WDW,
he started to wheeze and had to have a breathing treatment.
We never once got to eat our food. We ended up darting from plug to plug, and trying to guage lines between neb treatments.

Wish we'd heard of a GAC!

Glad it went so well for you...:D

Erinch,

We did the neb gauging last time. What a nightmare. I don't think he really had a good time. This time made a world of difference. Thanks for sharing your experience!
