I was thinking about requesting tickets to see this ceremony at the end of August. Has anyone seen this and feels it's worth a go? Do you think it's safe for me and 14 y.o. DS to be on the Tube around 10:00 p.m. back to Victoria?
Thanks for your help!

It is completely free to do this, but as it isn't too well known about it does make you feel very special when you are being let into the Tower Grounds late at night, so I do think that it is worth it. The ceremony itself is short, but steeped in history and quite moving in a strange sort of way. I would recommend it, but I do not know about the tube situation, so that is my one hesitation. Perhaps someone else could give you advice you on that aspect. Carolyn

I'm sorry I can't help with the Ceremony of the Keys. I would just like to assure you that I always feel very safe on the tube late at night. I have used the underground with my son for my many stays in London and have never felt unsafe. The trains and stations are usually very busy even at 10:00 pm.
Have a great time

Hi TZMON,
The ceromony of the keys was very interesting and unique, as Carolyn said. Most Londoners will never have heard of it,you've done well to find out about this! I think you would really enjoy it and feel special in such a small group, you feel a part of history knowing this ceremony goes on whether there are people there watching or not, for hundreds of years.
I don't know Victoria too well but I'm sure it would be fine.At the end of August in high summer it will probably still be very light then too.
