We are going to be dining at Chef Micky's at 7:00pm, we will be staying at CBR and was wondering how much time to allow to travel from CBR to the Contempory. Also since MK is closing at 7:00 the night we are going to CM, would it be easier just to get a taxi to take us back to our hotel ? We are not renting a car so we are depending on disney transportation. Also does anyone know what the fare would be between the two places? Thanks for any help..I would of been lost without these boards and all the positive and great advice..thanks again.

You will love Chef Mickeys!! It is a lot of fun. Your best bet to get to CM is to take a bus from your resort to Magic Kingdom, and then the monorail to Contemporary. I would give yourself at least 45 minutes to an hour to get there. There should be no problem on wait for monorail, but if the buses are busy, you don't know how long you will wait at your resort for a bus to come. If you check in early, sometimes you can be seated early. However, most of the time CM is very crowded and you can't get in prior to your PS time.
On the way home, you can take a bus from the Contemporary to Down Town Disney, then catch a bus to your resort from there. It may take longer than a taxi, but then you don't have to pay any more. You will probably be done with dinner by 9pm, so you could still do some shopping at Down Town Disney prior to going back to your resort. Then it wont be a wasted trip.
Have a great time.
Recently we took a cab from our resort (BWI) to Chef Mickeys, took about 10 min. and cost $10, it was worth the $ to save time in the morning. Having said that, we were disappointed with our Chef Mickey experience and don't plan to return, nothing awful but in our opinion.... overrated!
