Typhoon Lagoon capacity

I read that the water parks will stop letting people in when they reach capacity. Does anyone know what capacity is at Typhoon Lagoon? Is it possible that a group of about 200 on a Saturday in March could be split up - maybe some will not be let in? They plan to arrive at the park at 11:00 a.m. :rolleyes:

I don't know what Typhoon Lagoon's capacity is exactly, but getting there at 11:00am (only 1 hour after opening) and the fact that BB is open, there should be no capacity problems. The only time I've ever seen Disney close the water parks is really in the summer, and then it's always BB first generally and then TL. Also, the spring breakers are more likely to be at BB than TL, since it's more thrill oriented. Add all that to the fact that Florida is still rather chilly on some days in March, not really bringing in the Floridians who in the summer use it as Orlando's beach. :)

However, to be sure, you might want to check with Disney via their Group Relations department, who could better answer your concerns...

We went to TL in April on a weekday, only after finding out BB was already closed to capacity around 11:15-11:30. We were walking toward the entrance in back of a group of 180 students being bussed in to TL. (a couple of students were filling us in) Then TL closed to capacity around noon that day.

KimEadler - This is a group of band kids (H.S. Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors). This will be their first park visit as they arrive at WDW. I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to stay clear of them because of the large group. I still haven't decided whether I will be there, even though my son is in the band. I may go to TL another day.

I have to tell you, however, that they will be marching in the Spectromagic parade Sunday, March 21st at MK at 8:00 pm. They are a spectacular band to watch! Look for the Blue & Gold high stepping energenic marching Trojans from Owosso, Michigan! They have an excellent drum section, too, and I hope they can strut their stuff too! :jester:

Looks we will be at TL the same day as your band! Maybe I'll meet some of the students and see them in the parade the next day! That's our day to visit the MK, too!! I've got a 14 yr old drummer with me - so we will definately check out the Trojans! Hope you all have a great trip!:wave:
