The reservation you cancelled won't show up in the available pool of rooms until 7 am EDT tomorrow. That's when the cancellations are updated in the CRO/WDTC computers. There is also no guarantee that they will continue to be discounted rooms when they are readded to inventory. That will depend on the current room occupancy statistics for those dates.

That's some good information, GoldeOldie. People have been saying for a while that they can't get into ASMo in September. My change of plans is just but one small example of why folks should keep trying even when they have been told there are no openings. If I really wanted ASMo, and it's not showing up available until tomorrow morning, you can bet I'd be on the phone at 7 am eastern time!

You are right, Belle5. People cancel for various reasons all the time. The rooms go back into inventory and what you couldn't get last week or even yesterday is now suddenly available. Always good to keep checking.
