I was lucky enough to get in (one of the last 30 people). It was a very good and informative meeting. There was a HUGE crowd, I estimated about 500 in the room we were in, Roy said another 600! had to be turned away. Before the meeting you had to register and you recieved a bag with a savedisney t-shirt, pen, button, pin, bumper sticker and card to write down a question. All of the things in the bag were very nice, I was suprised they gave all that stuff to everyone who made it in.

The meeting started off with a video of people reading their t heir concerns and thoughts on the current situation then Staney Gold came out and spoke. He just gave a general overview of what was going to happen ect...

Next up was some guy (forgot his name) who went through some slides of Disneyland from its early years.

Michael Mendenhall (sp?) then gave a powerpoint presentation on the numbers and facts about Disney's sliding performance with its stocks. He clearly showed how Disney's performance has been slowly declining over the past eight years.

There was a short video before Roy came up to spoke, they also showed his video which was recently sent out to everyone through savedisney.com. Next up was Roy who recieved a standing ovation and he made his remarks. Basically just going through their stance on everything. He joked around a lot and was actually pretty funny at times. You oculd really tell that he cares about Disney.

The Q&A session was next and was the most informative part of the whole session. I'm sure there will be a transcript posted somwhere but each of them went into detail about Comcast, who should succede Eisner ect...

I'll have some pictures posted soon. I thought it was a very informative and well put together meeting. I just wish they would have had more space for everyone to get in.

And i remember when savedisney.com sniff sniff first got off the ground and all the criticism it recieved at being able to amount to a big bal of nothing. But alas my baby is all grown up now. The snowball has gone a long way down the mountain.

Well they ddin't name one person, but they said a list of 5-10 people will be good for the job. Also that Roy nor Stanley want the job.

The rifile joke was great! It was somthing like "if I had enough rifles we could have this settled very quickly" He was joking just of course, Roy was actually very funny, he was fun to listen to.

I kind of have a feeling they have one person in mind and that person has agreed to do it.

You don't go into something like this without having all your ducks in order. Gold is that good.

Thanks for the pictures and update. I am so proud of Roy for taking a stand to save Disney. It's time for true Disney fans to unite and RESTORE THE MAGIC. Michael Eisner needs to go. If Michael does stay on, I'm selling all of my stock. This guy is tearing down this company and Walt's dream. Michael Eisner is responsible for so many bad decisions. He needs to say good bye. In the words of Donald Trump....."You're Fired!"

WE SUPPORT YOU ROY!!!!:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

I was too far away, but I think Roy knew this guy. Either that or he's
more comfortable hanging out with suits than big curmudgeony looking
people wearing Grumpy Miner's hockey sweaters. :cool2:

The bright spot up top is a local TV crew's lighting...the green glowing thing on Roy is lens flare from the stupid local tv crew's lighting.

I was wearing a yellow shirt and jeans with a blue backpack on. There were so many people there, I should have asked around to see if anyone was on the DIS!

BTW, here's a picture of the items that they gave out (t-shirt, button, pin, bumper sticker, notebook, pen)

Here's a photo of the lapel pin. I apologize for the slight color skewing and slight blurriness.

From today's press reports of yesterday's meeting:

(USA Today) – Roy Disney, 74, nephew and son of founders Walt and Roy P. Disney, said his campaign is strictly business. "I'm doing my darnedest to keep it from being personal. This is about performance."

(Dow Jones) – The crowd gave a standing ovation to Roy Disney, nephew of the company's co- founder, when he took the stage. Flanked by two banners proclaiming "Restore the Magic," the former Disney director rallied the crowd and repeated his calls for Eisner's dismissal. At one point, he compared Eisner's departure to the death of the Wicked Witch in the "Wizard of Oz" movie. Later, Roy Disney jokingly added, "if we had enough rifles we'd have this thing over with."

How can you say "I'm doing my darnedest to keep it from being personal" and then say, "if we had enough rifles we'd have this thing over with"? I get that Roy doesn't like ME ... that they have issues .... that he wants him out. But come on .... how is joking about the guy being dead considered not personal?

"The Magical Tour of the Magic Kingdom" slide show was presented by a guy who grew up in Southern California. I thought his name was Charles Phoenix. I liked the way the slide show ended with a "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" only a dream away!

I thought the man who presented the three charts was Michael McConnell. The three charts showed a long & steady decline in Disney company performance & capital allocation from 1996-2004.
In the Q & A, Stanley & Roy said Michael Eisner & Frank Wells acted as equals for the first ten years despite their titles; they kept each other in check. Then Frank died, Disney bought ABC/Cap City 7 the decline began. That is a nutshell version :).

Husband & I got in line around 3:20 on Tuesday afternoon & were one of the last groups to get into the meeting. We enjoyed being there! It was nice of Roy & Stanley to give us our goodie bags.
