For those of you that could not use the new online check in, what did you find when you got to the airport? Were all of the group 'A' passes gone? How early did you check in for your flight?

Also, has anyone had any luck changing a multi-passenger reservation into seperate single reservations? Will they do this with no change in fare (assuming all of that fare are gone)?

Hi M_M,

Haven't tried the on line check-in yet but others have reported mixed results.........there's a thread further down the main Transportation page.

I had no problem changing from 1 reservation for 3 people to 3 separate reservations. There was no change in fare. Call SWA and tell them what you need to do and why and they'll issue you new confirmation number(s). One confirmation number will remain the same as the original. They can also then e-mail the new details to you....very convienient.

Hope this helps

Bob

We just came back from a trip and had four passengers with one reservation. We couldn't use online so we got to the airport 21/2 hours early(this was the school vacation week) and got A's. On the way home we got to MCO about the same time and got B's. I really didn't see many people with the online boarding passes the problem in MCO was the over 30 People whohad preboard. For some reason they were alloewing extended families of passengers to preboard with a family. This was a bit much for me!

Re: preboarding: This is when you write a letter to SWA and express your chagrin. Nothing will change if people don't express themselves.

I was unable to check in on line for our trip two weeks ago. I had our reservations separated a few days before our trip, but when I tried to check in on line, I was unable to access the system. We got to the airport (DTW) two hours early and received "A" boarding passes.

On our return, we arrived at the Orlando airport about two hours early and again received "A" boarding passes.
