Final Thoughts
Best Parts about the trip:
Animal Kingdom Lodge – yes you can stay here in a Standard View Room and still experience everything the lodge has to offer. We loved it!
Meeting up with Friends – I loved having meets on this trip and meeting people from my boards. It was a blast!
Casey’s – best hot dogs outside of Busch Stadium! This is going to be a must do on every trip! Which is fine with us since we don’t really have a place in MK where we eat lunch and dinner at.
Dole Whips, Beaches and Creams, and Ghiradelli’s.
Comedy Club in Pleasure Island – was a great time and was good to get a little adult entertainment.
Cast Member interaction! Even though Creepy Thin Man scared me he gave me a memory I’m not soon to forget. Actually he is getting a whole scrapbook page dedicated to him :)
Bad Parts about the Trip:
I want to see Towel Animals! I’ve yet to see one! Teasing
Favorite Resturants:
Ohana’s – this was our favorite meal during the trip. The atmosphere, the table, our waiter everything was perfect. Plus we love the food!
CA Grill – you have to love it, the view is phenomenal and really can’t be matched. The food is excellent, and the sushi is incredible!
50’s Prime Time Café – still a favorite and now with the discover of the S’more it jumps up a big notch!
Le Celliers – Two words: CHEESE SOUP
Rose and Crowne – Not as good as last time but I can’t complain
Boma – Try it once you won't forget it. While we enjoyed it, I don't really see us heading right back there.
Well as many may have figured out we did not come home with the painting. It seemed that neither one of us could agree on it being a good investment for us. That being said I am kicking myself in the rear for not buying it. Maybe it will still be there in January when we go back. Have I mentioned we are going back? Yep – to run the half marathon. Plans are to stay at the Pop Culture resort.
DH and I really talked a lot on this trip, which is good because with pressure from family and jobs you do need time to reconnect. We decided that after January if we get a chance to come back that we will be staying back on the Monorail – we just missed it way too much this trip. Personally I’m holding out for the Grand Floridian but I would be just as happy at the Poly. A trip after January will be a long way off – time to concentrate on doing things to the house and saving money since that ole biological clock started ticking.
I did check my suitcase just to make sure Creepy Thin Man didn’t follow me home
