I told my DH that I'm starting to watch airfares for the very end of October/beginning of November and if they drop enough, I'm going to Disney World! He said I could only if I take him!

I see value season starts Sunday, October 31st so I'll probably fly down on Saturday, Oct 30th and stay off-site the 1st nite and then spend a few days at Pop Century or try to rent points again to try BCV.

How busy do you think the parks will be at this time? I believe this will be the week before "Jersey Week" and the Halloween stuff will be over by then. We like low crowds and good(not hot) weather.

We will be arriving on the 30th, staying offsite, then checking in at the GF on the 31st. My biggest fear is that the resorts / parks will be crowded as this is the very beginning of Value Season. We just happened to luck out that our DDs school changed their six weeks break to a week later than usual!

Anyone else have any experience with this time frame?

History dictates that this is usually one of the busiest weeks. Yes Jersey week, super soap weekend, festival of the masters, and probably other conventions. Plus throw in veterans day approaching on the 11th. While I don't believe the weekend of Oct. 30-31 will be so busy, I do believe that the weekend of Nov. 6-7 will be a heavy weekend. We will be there Oct. 20-29, so getting out in time. No matter what, I would never let all of this madness stop me from going to WDW.

We went this past year 10/30/03-11/7/03. It was in the middle of F&W fest, Jersey Week, and we left the day before the Soap Stars Wknd began. All in all, I didn't find the crowds too bad. It was quiet, nor was it close to being "off season" crowds. It was moderate I would say. 2 things stood out that really suprised me--- it was still really warm (close to 90 most days), and it was still really humid. Where you have to change clothes 2-3 times during the day. On the whole, I think it was a great time to go. Good planning and the use of FP kept our waits at a minimum.

Nope...that is "Jersey Week"....we'll be down there again, same time....this time, though, if you guys go, I promise we will meet up! :D

We usually go this week, and we've always had perfect weather...sunny, no rain and no humidity. We wear shorts and tee shirts the whole time, day and night.
