Delta Airlines flying out of MacArthur is $141.50 roundtrip until the end of October. This same roundtrip fare was $223 just a week ago. I know because I booked my flights last week. I ended up booking a flight out of LaGuardia, because the fare difference was $100 more to fly out of MacArthur at the time. I got the flight for $136. Needless to say, I'm a tad bit upset. MacArthur is a 10 minute drive from my house, while LaGuardia is 1 hour away. But anyone who's flown out of a NYC airport knows what a pain it can be.

I just got an email from Travelocity giving a price of $130RT from ISP to MCO on Delta through 10/26. I too booked my airfare last week from Kennedy ($138 RT) because the LI fares were much too high. We are coming home on the 28th so I would have had to change our travel dates, but it would have been worth it just to not have to drive into the city. Oh well, I think I will cancel my "fare watcher" subscription so I don't get aggravated if fares go down again (although I'm sure I will read about it on this site).
Hope this makes someone happy!

Wow! I've never seen fares that cheap out of ISP. Unfortunately I'm not going until the end of November. I also booked a flight out of LGA because airfare out of ISP was almost $300. It's now down to $231, which I would have paid instead of having to be at LGA for a 6:15 am flight.

The $130 fare out of ISP on Delta is really great. I also have tickets out of LGA for Pres week 2002 due to major fare from ISP. Ya just can't ever figure the fares.... :jester:
