Hi! My fiance and I are getting married in Dallas because we simply couldn't afford an actual Disney Wedding, (though we are honeymooning there). We both want to add some Disney magic to our local ceremony/reception and would love any suggestions from you guys! I am a HUGE Snow White fan and we both love Mickey.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Lindsey

Hi there - that's a wonderful idea :)
Here are my thoughts on what you could do :
1) Add Disney music to your ceremony
2) Make your own invites and put Mickey Mouse on them or theme towards Snow White
3) Have all your tables named after your favourite Disney characters - or Disney Couples e.g. Ariel and Eric, Mickey & Minnie, etc etc
4) Mickey and Minnie Cake topper - look on Ebay there are lots of them on there
5) Disney favours - not sure what though
That's all I got for now but hope that helps

I just saw this last week, I think. They made velvet pillows on small pedestals for centerpieces and placed (glass) clear acrylic "slippers" on each pillow. That was really cute!

my fiance & i are planning a valentine's wedding, we are using red mickey candles & happy valentine's day stuffed toy mickey's & minnie's. we were originally planning a christmas wedding where we were going to give disney christmas ornaments. since your wedding's in november you could probably give christmas type gifts. best of luck for your wedding!

I got married at Disney in June 2001. When we returned home we had a reception for all of our friends and family that couldn't make it to the wedding. I searched on line and was able to find mickey shaped balloons. We placed a few balloons at each table along with mickey confetti we made using a mickey hole punch we found at Walmart. It looked really cute and everyone commented on how great it looked!

For my Beauty and the Beast wedding we had characters on the cake, mini-snowglobes incorporated into the centerpieces, music from the movie throughout, castle or rose icons on the napkins.
People commented on all the nice touches but that it wasn't too much!
Good Luck!

Hi,
We are doing a Cinderella themed wedding on Long Island and my favorite Disney touch is our favors. In Leiu of favors we donated money in our guests' honor to the Make a Wish Foundation. They have a wedding scroll program and on the scrolls they added the child's name, age, location, illness and that their donation was going towards her wish to go to Disneyworld. It is so noce and they even printed them woth a picture of Mickey and Minnie on top.
As far as other things I am doing....ebay is a great sight...just do a disney wedding search or be specific....cinderella wedding...they have tons of ideas. We are naming our tables after Cinderella themed things, having Cinderella placecards and bought plastic glass slippers and cutting them to use as placecard holders, we used Cinderella invitations and save the date cards and will dance to a Disney song after the cake. Our last song will be When You Wish Upon A Star. We also ordered a Cinderella unity candle, bought Cinderella and Prince toasting flutes (from WDW) and ordered a Cinderella and Prince etched hurricane lamp for our table. I know that there are more things we are doing but can not think of them right now. We are adding the touches of Disney without making it look too junivelle....or so we hope! I hope this helps. If you have any other great suggestions...plaese email me....Id love to hear them!
Heather
Oh yeah....we ordered glass slipper and castle candy wrappers from ebay that fit Hershey nugget candies and are having a Cinderella and Prince cake topper.
