Morning!
Does anyone know anything about this? I know it is held at the Garden Grill, but do you know when or how much it is?
Thanks for your help!

The Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill is at 3pm daily. You can make a priority seating for it by calling 407-WDW-Dine however from what I have read you generally don't "Need" one. The cost is $6.99 per person (which includes everything...the seating the charaters, the ice cream... not sure if it inculdes tax/tip, but everything else).
I persoanlly have not done this, but from what I hear if you are looking for something different to do, you love ice cream and want to see some characters it is a fun expereience.

It is held in the afternoon, but I don't know the exact time...you may need to call for that. We were eating there several years ago when it was being done and the sundaes looked magnificent! We asked about it, and at that time it was only a perk for some travel thing and not the general public. I want to say it's around $7 per person. We thought about doing that instead this year (GG is a must-do every time for us); however, we figured that once we spent $7 per person for dessert plus the money for counter service food somewhere in epcot, we might as well get the whole meal, especially since it comes with a dessert, too. Whether you do the ice cream social or get a meal, the GG is a great place to go!

We just did the Ice Cream Social for the first time a week and a half ago. I wasn't overly impressed- but I may have had an unrealistic expectation. I had it in my head, that it was a make your own sundae kinda thing -- so, I was looking forward to different kinds of Ice Creams and toppings.
We made reservations earlier in the day without any problem.. I think we may have gotten there just as they were starting because it wasn't at all crowded (5 or 6 other tables) They bring you a ice cream sundae -- they are all the same. Vanilla Ice cream in a waffle cone - the waffle cone is anchored into the plate through a chocolate chip cookie -- The cookie is stuck to the plate with chocolate (so it doesn't tip over) There are sprinkles on it, a very yummy cookie stick and a triangle piece of choclate with gold mickeys stamped on it. We ended up ordering root beer (scooping out the ice) and making rootbeer floats with half of the ice cream :)
I was trying to take a picture of the chocolate with the Mickeys on it ... but you can see a bit of what the icecream looks like.

I know the above review sounds cynical.. but it's really because my expectations were off. We were 2 adults and I am not a big character person. If you want some quiet, calm one on one time with Mickey, Chip and Dale then this would be the place. If you want some good ice cream, try the ice cream shop on Main Street or Beaches and Cream :)

I did not like the Ice Cream social either. I was really disappointed. For two adults and two kids, I think the bill was around $25.00 for marginal ice cream. It is also a bad location for a character meet and greet. It is too crowded.
