I called for reservations more than a year ago and still didn't get the site I reques

We will be leaving in 1 day!!! Called today to confirm reservations and inquire as to whether we were gonna get the site that we requested (117). I was told that site was already taken but that we would definately get a site in the 100 loop because there were plenty left. Can't help but wonder why we couldn't have gotten our requested site if this is the case. I didn't say anything or kick up a fuss coz I am hoping they will all be nice sites and trying to take the attitude that this one may even be nicer than the last one. NOTHING will ruin this much anticipated vacation for me, however I was a bit dissapointed I thought since I called and reserved so far in advance I would get my requested site. We were there in November of '99 and had that site and really liked it. Are all the sites in the 100 loop pretty much the same?

They don't assign the actual site number until a few days before you arrive, so when you make your reservation doesn't play a part in what site you get. Until recently, it was recommended that you fax your requests in about 5 days before you arrived, but I've heard recently that they aren't doing that any more.
