I have been diligently checking Southwest's emails and website for airfare for the end of June/first of July(our dates our flexible), but the cheapest I've seen has been $99 one way from Nashville to MCO. I've tried into Tampa, and same story. Is there any chance these rates will drop between now and then? I've also checked the other airlines and they are even higher than SW.

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

I too have been waiting for July airfare to go down from NYC to MCO. I was told by soneone on these boards that they usually go down in March. You just have to keep checking all the websites for airlines as well as travelocity, etc. Some will even email when the price changes if you sign up for this feature.
Good luck to us both!

Last year we went the second week of July and in March SWA came out with a special from Albany, nY to MCO for $79/each way. I jumped on it. I am hoping for the same thing this year. Good luck

I can't believe I forgot to mention -
There is a program called Sidestep which you can download for free from their website Sidestep.com. It searches all the airfares for you including those posted on travelocity, expedia, even Jetblue which is not listed on the travel websites. It saves you the time of going from website to website. Once downloaded you open it from internet explorer. Very easy to use even for someone like me who lacks computer "savvy".
Good luck

I fly that route and have it on fare watcher and everything else. It has been pretty consistent and rarely drops below that rate. Both SW and DL run it about that rate. We don't have JetBlue or Song.

The only way I have seen it cheaper is to fly AA into Miami and change planes. Sometimes that is $150.

I just don't think you will see it much lower.

No amount of money saved can justify flying into Miami unless you absolutely have to. It is a zoo.

Thanks guys--we did actually get rates of $59 one way in Oct of 2002, but I would settle for $79! At this rate my dh will want to drive instead of pay the $650(for 3 tx including all the surcharges) to fly. But it is SO much nicer to fly! Especially since I'll be 6 1/2 mos. pregnant at the time!

Thanks, again,

Jennifer
