It seems like marketing gets the big layoff hit. I remember a while ago, about 80 or so people were laid off. Now it is 20.

Robin is right -- Disney laid off around 4,000 employees!

It has been made clear that the goal of the Marketing restructuring was never to streamline or make more cost-effective. All affected employees were transferred or offerred severance in the most professional manner possible. This is not a typical downsizing move, and has no bear on any such future percieved intentions on behalf of the company.
