Krispy Kreme doughnuts!!!
DH and I had never been to a Krispy Kreme before, but went to the one in Lansing on Wednesday. We had every intention of going in and just getting ONE apiece. Well, they were making them while we were there and we enjoyed watching that, then one of the workers holds out fresh, warm, glazed doughnuts to each of us and asks if we would like a free sample...well, sure!! :)
Then we proceded to buy a DOZEN, plus coffee, and went to a table. I ate TWO MORE and DH had FOUR MORE!!! Yikes!!
THEN when I got home I looked up the nutritional value on their web site, uh oh! 200 calories and 22 carbs per doughnut!!! I had just consumed 600 calories and 66 carbs!!! Oh my!!! Bad!!!
(shhhhh, but wow did they taste GOOD!!! ::yes:: )

I so understand where you are coming from I am having issues staying away from all of the Easter candy (my favorite candy season) but I just joined the No Foolin' Around challenge so hopefully it will keep me on track. Yumm, Krispy Kreme, I love those (and I have no problem eating a couple at one sitting too) thanks for sharing the calorie info hopefully it will make me think twice next time lol :o

We have a Krispy Kreme right by our house and it is so hard to drive by every morning when you can smell them baking and knowing I can't have any. I feel your pain! But we are allowed to splurge every now and then!

Only one Krispy Kreame place in Massachusetts, and it's just far enough away that I wouldn't bother to go. However, when we go to FL in June, I might just have to try just one! They sound soooo good. Although I stopped using food as a reward (hot fudge sundaes) I might just have one Cripsy Cream if I hit my goal. :p

PS I have to stay away from these wonderful cheesy fries with bacon they have at Kelly's Roast Beef. Too yummy and too much!

I've never cared for KKs but my husband loved them. Well, that was yesterday and it's history. You're back on track today, right?
You are in my area, we should have lunch someday.

Mmmm, Krispy Kremes. I think my sister once called those "gut-busters". But they sure are tasty. Thankfully for me, the nearest Krispy Kreme is 2 hours away.
Don't beat yourself up about it. It's now in the past.:sunny:

Lucky for me I don't like KK. I love Dunkin' Donuts and I only get those once a year when I go to New York to see my in-laws (there are some in IN just thankfully not close to me). Don't worry about yesterday--consider it a lesson learned. :)

Mmmm ... Krispy Kreme ... I am so humbly grateful to be living in a Krispy Kreme-free zone. Honestly, who could realisticly expect themselves to resist a fresh, hot Krispy Kreme donut?
It's done, it's over, it's history, time to move on. Now you know exactly what's in them, which is a good thing, and you'll be better prepared the next time temptation strikes!

I understand your feelings, we don't have one too close by, but when we go into the next town we really have to just say NO we aren't stopping. They are so good and that is one thing that is hard to just eat one of::yes:: .

I can totally related. I discovered the wonderful world of Krispy Kreme donuts on our trip to London this past October. They had just opened inside of Harrods and they were giving away free donuts......oh yum. So of course we had to buy a couple and my family and I found a place to sit outside and ate them all!! They were delightful....but I am so glad they don't have them where I live.
