I, Georgia, promise all my WISH buddies that I will not weigh myself for 1 week.

I have a terrible scale addiction. I let it set the mood for the day. I know in my head all the reasons for weight fluctuation, but I still let the numbers get to me.
So, my goal is to stick to the tape measure and NOT the scales.

uh... any INCH clippies out there?

Thanks for all your wonderful support, have a great weekend and Happy Mardi Gras. :jester:

Good for you! I am a recovering scale addict, myself ;)

No inch clippies that I know of but I added my inches lost to my signature and that seems to work pretty well.

I'm on day 6 of a "no scale peeking" week! Yesterday I was dying to get on :hyper: but it has been very freeing to not let the scale dictate how I'm feeling about my weight loss every day. I am anxious for tomorrow to get here to see how I've done. ::yes:: You can do it! Hide that scale from yourself if you have to and listen to your body instead of the scale for a few days!

Funny, I was just patting myself on the back from breaking this habit!!

I would go to the gym every morning and drive myself CRAZY checking out the scale.

Well, I've decided to NOT get hung up on weighing myself and just LIVE this way of life! It'll work whether I weigh myself or not! :p

Hi, my name is Kim and, I weigh myself WAY too often. Morning, noon (if I could) and, night. Several times each time also. :o Let me say, this is NOT a good thing tho. This week was horribly rotten with fluctuations and consequently, my mood. After a 4.5 lb loss last week, I've seen 5 more added back on, down to 1 as of today. Either way, right now, I've not only NOT lost this week but, I've gained! I think I could've waited to know THAT result!! :( :(

I think I need the 12-step program. No, wait, that'd be step-on, step-off, right? Not good!

Thanks WISHers,

I thought I was the only one. I'm moving the scale out of the bathroom. Maybe I should put them in front of the fridge.

It's much harder than I thought it would be. I always weigh first thing in the morning. Today, I got up and drank a BIG glass of water, knowing that it would discourage me from weighing.

Have a great week all,

I too am gonna jump on this thread and not weigh myself for at least a week.......
I put my scale in the shed cause I just couldnt throw it out, but the shed is all the way in the back yard, its cold and theres still ice on the ground so it's not eay to get to especially, a few times a day!
Anyway this past days a little weird thing happened!
On wed. possibly thurs., I weighted myself and it said 161! OK OK so I did hava bad weAkend....but last night sunday, I weighed myself and it said 169!
thats ridiculos!

Needless to say, I am done with it, at least on a daily basis!
its going back in the shed!
Goodpost thanks

I am a scale addict too. I get on ievery chance I get, even if it's an hour later hoping it wil change. I resolve not to let the scale get the best of me anymore!!!
