Our credit card 2003 annual summary just came in the mail.

Looking thru it......boy, there are sure alot of entries from scrapbooking stores & websites.

Think I better hide this..........FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and in MY opinion....it's bad marketing. I know I spent alot last year. I paid the bill in full every month. Do they REALLY think they need to REMIND me again at the end of the year how much I spent......by TOTALLING it up & catergorizing it for me? Yikes!

What I got from it was..... I don't go out to eat or go to Disney world NEARLY as much as I shop! Maybe I need to do something about that. LOL :teeth:

LOL Splsh!!!

I hear ya!

Hubby did the taxes about 2 weeks ago and he uses Quicken to keep tabs on all of our expenditures. He turns to me when he was all done and said "Would ya like to know how much you spent on scrapping last year???"

My reply? "Noooooooope...I am afraid!" ::yes::

I don't even want to know. I made some bad judgement calls with my Creative Memories business...I decided to get out...now I have a LOT of stuff to sell! Oh well, I know my customers will want a lot of it.

I can't wait to check out scrapbook stores again---I felt guilty for even looking around while I was a CMC.

I married a fiancial planner who keeps tabs on everything!! He balances the checkbook twice a day sometimes and then re checks it according to the his computer check at the banks web site. Pinny pitcher is his middle name. He can even tell you how much change we have in our change jar most days! On days I run numerous errands and have several receipts he completly stress out. To us that would be like running out of adhesive.

I have the reciept problem..... You know the reciept that is 3 ft long because they had to scan every sheet of paper. I might have only spent 8.00 but to my husband it doesn't compute. LONG RECIEPT........ Lots of money!?

DH has NEVER wanted to handle the bills, check book, etc. When we first reached that point in our relationship where he said "here is my checkbook - can you balance it?" (pre-engagement) and I saw that he entered things rounded to the nearest dollar and if the bank said he was ok, he was ok. I knew he wouldn't be handling the financial transactions.

And he is generally fine with that. But every once in a while he decides he is too far out of the loop and starts looking at things. Usually in January when the credit card bill is biggest! Then he gets nervous until everything comes in clean again. His big deal right now is just WHEN are you going to actually do the taxes? Normally I do them in February but this year that hasn't happened - too busy with theater work. I figure this batch of costumes has to be essentailly done in the next two weeks. That still leaves me 6 weeks until the deadline. A little later than usual but still on time.

But what would we do if they weren't keeping us honest.

Splash I agree with you - BAD marketing.

Never put all your purchases on the SAME account -

Sometimes I use the household account -
sometimes I use DH's credit card
sometimes I use my debit card from my 'slush fund'
Sometimes I use cash
much easier to not know that way - lol!
